A: The Immunize command is used to document and charge for an immunization administered within the clinic. The Immunization Statement command is used to document immunizations given to the patient outside of the clinic.

Q: Can I document multiple vaccinations at once?
A: Each vaccine requires an individual Immunize command. However, automations are powerful tools that can help assist with vaccines frequently administered together such as routine childhood vaccines. Please review our article on how to set up an automation for additional information.
Q: I made a mistake, how do I remove this command?
A: Commands can be entered in error, but not deleted. Please review the Entering a Command in Error document for directions.
Q: How do I print this command?
A: A command can be printed by using the triple dot menu to the right of the command and selecting the print option.

A: The immunize command populates from vaccines in settings.
Step by Step:
This process begins in an open note of the patient chart.
- Type "immunize" into a blank line within the clinical note.
- Select command by pressing Enter on the keyboard.
- Select the desired vaccine being administered and the payer (if available and applicable)
- Advance through the remaining fields by pressing Tab between each field:
- SIG: instructions for taking the medications. Field has a 75 character limit.
- Manufacturer: name of the manufacturer. Field has a 100 character limit.
- Lot Number: identification number of vaccination. Field has a 20 character limit.
- Expiration Date: date of the inoculation's expiration
- VIS Consent: Vaccine Information Statement consent given
- Given By: the administrator of vaccine
- Click IMMUNIZE to commit the command.
