Introduction
The Deny Refill command sends a response back to the pharmacy to notify of the denial.

Step by Step
The process will begin after a refill that has been submitted for review. Pending refills are available to be reviewed through the Schedule View.
- Select the Refill Requests icon at the top right of the Schedule View
- Click on the desired patient's name within the Refill card to be redirected to the patient's chart and open the refill requests to review.
- Select DENY and a mostly filled out Deny Refill command will populate into a new note
- Fill out the reason for denial
- Select Send and one of the following statuses is displayed:

- ACCEPTED: the prescription has been sent and accepted
- PENDING: the prescription is still being communicated to the pharmacy but will ultimately be accepted
- ERROR: the prescription was unable to be transmitted to the pharmacy

NOTE: If an ERROR status is given, check if all correct fields have been filled out and the patient's address is listed correctly in Registration and try to send the denial again. If more help is required, message Canvas Support.
