Introduction
Patient communications are enabled in settings by default. This allows Canvas to utilize phone numbers and emails provided by patients to send verification links to the Patient App, appointment reminders, and for campaign outreach. Patient communications can be disabled at the organization level to prevent phone/email verification links being sent from Canvas UI. Disabling this communication setting does not impact the patient appointment reminder settings. Communication sent for appointment reminders requires configuration within the organization settings.
